More about Ann
My interest in massage and reflexology began in my early teens but in 2010 I decided to retrain in this sector after an extremely bad fall whilst ice skating. The accident left me with severe whiplash, concussion and vertigo.
After numerous visits to the GP with various muscular and balance problems I decided to investigate alternative ways of healing myself. Using a combination of skeletal and muscular therapies I finally started to feel “normal” again! I also began asking questions of one of the therapists I was seeing. She encouraged me to go to college and train in the beautiful art of massage and reflexology.
After qualifying as a Holistic Therapist in 2012, I have continued to develop my skills by training with highly respected UK therapy schools: ACMT and MFR with Jing Massage, training in Cancer Care and TMJ Dysfunction with Blend Therapy and Reflexology with advanced UK-based teachers.
My client base has grown primarily through word of mouth. I feel a key reason for this is that I always strive to cater to each client's individual needs, and therefore they receive a truly personal treatment.
When working with a client for the first time I carry out a full health consultation. The consultation form is emailed before the appointment and discussed at the beginning of the session or via zoom the day before. This allows the client and myself to work together to identify problem areas and establish the treatment objective.
Each treatment is tailored to suit the individual and relevant after-care advice will be provided.
At subsequent appointments I take time to discuss how the client is feeling, how they felt following the previous session and, if necessary, alter that day's treatment accordingly.
I am fully insured and registered with The Federation of Holistic Therapists
